Personal Auto Insurance Refresher
Auto insurance is the “bread and butter” of insurance coverages offered by most independent insurance agents and agencies. For many agents, the majority of interactions with clients and prospects involve discussions related to personal auto insurance sales, claims or policy changes. These interactions are often more than just procedural. They also offer an opportunity for the agent to demonstrate their value and build trust and confidence with the customer. In turn, this can open the door to other sales opportunities. An insurance agent can never know too much about auto insurance.
This course is designed to provide Missouri insurance agents with a comprehensive review of the Personal Auto Insurance Policy and the standard coverages and policy provisions of the Personal Auto Insurance Policy. While this can serve as a “refresher” course for many agents who are experienced in personal auto insurance sales, it will give new agents and customer services representatives a more comprehensive understanding of the Personal Auto Insurance Policy. Your customers will benefit greatly from your ability to provide detailed explanation and guidance during the purchasing and claims processes.
Topics Include:
- History and Background of the Personal Insurance Policy
- Risk Management Perspectives
- Public Policy Considerations
- Standard Policy Provisions
- Personal Auto Policy Underwriting, Rating, and Pricing
